Etching, Engraving & Sandblasting

Three ways of cutting light into a surface

Etching, engraving and sandblasting, on glass and on stone, metal and acrylic. The technique is chosen to suit the piece.

Techniques
Etching, engraving, sandblasting
Range of cut
A fine frosted line through to deep multi-depth relief
Beyond glass
Stone at monument scale, metal, acrylic and wood

A backlit etched glass panel carrying a law firm monogram, mounted on standoffs and glowing from within.

Etching

A frosted surface with a smooth, delicate finish. Best for fine detail: personalised glassware, gifts and smaller signage.

Engraving

Highly detailed work with real depth, so the design holds shadow as well as light. Suited to larger pieces, and to stone at monument scale.

Sandblasting

The technique for the largest pieces: deep, textured designs held consistently across a whole surface: glass walls, doors and architectural panels.
